Curtain Planning for Commercial Projects

Curtains for hotels, offices, healthcare buildings and shops begin with the function of each area. Develop the solution from an opening schedule and operating requirements rather than a generic product list.

Define each opening and use scenario

Record the area, hours of use, light and privacy objectives, dimensions and opening direction. A hotel room, examination area and meeting room call for separate decisions.

Fabric and technical suitability

Review physical samples in the project light. Check current documents where fire, acoustic or care performance is required; do not infer undocumented performance or suitability for every project.

Tracks, motors and coordination

Resolve curtain pockets, supporting surfaces, power and controls with the relevant architectural and installation teams. Motor capacity and maintenance access belong in the initial specification.

Production, installation and care

Record approved samples, finished dimensions and responsibilities. Agree phasing and safe access around site conditions, then check movement, drape and care at handover. Timing and prices depend on the individual quotation.
