Hotel Curtains: Guest Rooms, Lobbies and Meeting Spaces
Hotel rooms, suites, lobbies, restaurants and meeting spaces have different light and operating requirements. Plan fabrics, tracks, blackout and routine care together.
Last updated: 10 October 2026Guest-room blackout
Plan the sheer and closing layer separately. Blackout fabric alone does not eliminate light at the edges: overlap, track returns and the window surround should be checked in a sample room.
Lobbies, restaurants and meeting rooms
A lobby may prioritise outward views and drape; a restaurant needs to consider sunlight at tables; a meeting room may need stronger light control during presentations. Specify each area by its use.
Controls, care and documentation
Consider motorisation for frequently used or inaccessible curtains, with clear guest controls and maintenance access. Verify compatibility and any required fire, acoustic or care performance for the selected product. Acoustic fabric should not be treated as a sound-insulation guarantee.
Sample room and installation sequence
Record room types, quantities, finished dimensions and approved fabric codes. Test light gaps, stack-back and cleaning access in a sample room, then agree phased production and installation with the project team.
