Office Blinds: Glare, Daylight and Privacy

Office window treatments need to balance screen glare, daylight, outward views and meeting privacy. Open-plan workspaces, private offices and presentation rooms may need different systems.

Daylight and screen glare

Compare screen roller, Venetian and vertical blinds against façade orientation and desk positions. Screen fabric can retain an outward view, but a further layer may be needed for privacy after dark.

Meeting rooms and private offices

Presentation blackout and normal working daylight are different needs. Plan perimeter gaps for blackout systems and check privacy treatments on internal glazing against door movement.

Operation and specification

Grouped motorisation may help with many windows; pleated systems need separate assessment for opening sashes or shaped glazing. Plan power, controls and service access early. Verify any fire, acoustic or durability requirements through product documents rather than assuming sound-insulation or energy-saving results.

Quotation and maintenance

Keep the opening schedule, fabric codes, motor specification, installation phases and care method clear in the quotation. Review samples and actual window conditions before production approval.
