Silhouette and Vision Blinds: Understanding the Differences

Do not assume that blinds sold as Silhouette and Vision use the same mechanism. Confirm fabric movement, light adjustment and care for the exact product model.

Fabric vanes versus aligned bands

Silhouette systems use adjustable fabric vanes between sheer layers. Banded products sold under names such as Vision may instead vary light by aligning two layers of stripes. Ask to operate a real sample and check the technical description for the exact model.

Light, views and privacy

These adjustable surfaces can soften daylight and manage the outward view. Evening privacy and room darkening depend on fabric, edge gaps and the way the system closes. Product names alone do not establish total UV protection or complete blackout.

Manual and motorised operation

For living rooms, offices and broad glazing, review cassette space, sash movement and control access together. Verify the motorised model’s power, controls and automation compatibility against manufacturer documents; dimensional limits vary by system.

Care and product documentation

Delicate surfaces and joins can be affected by stiff brushes, excessive liquid or unsuitable cleaning. Ask for care guidance for the actual product code, and confirm material, performance and warranty scope in the quotation and product documentation.
