01Where can string curtains be used?
With their open construction of individual strands, string curtains can add a decorative layer in front of a window or create a light divider between living areas. They bring colour and texture to living rooms, sitting rooms and dining areas. Because they do not form a continuous surface, they should not be expected to provide blackout or complete night-time privacy on their own.
02Which type of string curtain is right for your space?
Our current collection includes matt, glitter, ribbon, cord, rope and leather-look options, as well as arrangements styled as dress curtains or balloon curtains. The thickness, spacing and colour of the strands affect their appearance in the room. Current samples and suitable dimensions can be reviewed together at our Çayyolu showroom.
03How do string curtains differ from sheers, dress curtains and roller blinds?
String curtains are primarily decorative. The woven surface of a sheer curtain softens light, while dress curtains and suitable roller-blind fabrics can provide more complete coverage. The gallery also shows string curtains used alongside other curtain layers. These layers should be selected together to achieve the required level of light control and privacy.
04How are measurements, installation and pricing determined?
We assess the width and height of the window or opening to be divided, the fixing surface, circulation space and how the curtain will gather. Pricing varies with the strand type, density, dimensions and installation details. Photographs and approximate measurements help with the initial discussion; final production measurements and the scope of the quotation are confirmed before installation.
05What should you consider for care and everyday use?
Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions for the selected product; the same washing or ironing conditions do not apply to every type of string curtain. When choosing, consider whether loose strands could obstruct circulation and how the curtain will be used where children or pets can reach it.
